Getting a ‘highlight’ takes about ten minutes, and can be done at any time in participating stylists’ shops or during one of the many community events where Highlights for Hope is hosted.

Certified professionals weave the pink hair extension into participants’ hair with string, matching the extension to straight, wavy, or curly hair types of any length. The ‘highlight’ is guaranteed to stay in for at least one month, but can be easily removed by the participant at any time. Most routine hair care is appropriate with the ‘highlight’, although some care instructions are provided.

• You can arrange to get a HLFH by speaking with your local HLFH technician and visiting their shop at your convenience. Gift certificates are available if you would like to purchase a HLFH for someone else.
• The HLFH team is often invited to community events, particularly during certain times of the year. You can get a HLFH on-site at any of these events by visiting the HLFH booth.
